This drink is similar to the ubiquitous Appletini, but uses Calvados as the base spirit instead of vodka. Calvados is a French apple brandy from Normandy. This drink has some citrus flavor in the beginning, but the apple flavor kicks in at mid-palate and lasts through some warm heat from the Calvados. If you're turned off by green, sweet-tart tasting Appletinis, try this drink.
