Chill cocktail glass. Shake all ingredients and strain into the cocktail glass.

This is the modern version of the Hemingway Daiquiri. If you order one or look up the recipe, it will most likely be similar to this version. The original recipe that Hemingway used is different and is served over cracked ice in a highball glass.

I have backed off a little on the Maraschino and substituted some cane syrup. With just Maraschino as the sweetener, I am a little overwhelmed with the bitter/nutty flavor. If you prefer this, increase the Maraschino and reduce the cane syrup.
