Cut lime in eight pieces and throw in shaker. Add the sugar and rimmer. Muddle the sugar and lime together. Try to dissolve most of the sugar. Fill with ice and rum. Shake hard and pour. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
You can mull in several shakers ahead of time to have them ready to go. As they sit, the sugar will dissolve.
