Old Fashioned
Muddle the orange, cherry, sugar, and bitters in an Old Fashioned glass. Fill with ice. Add bourbon and stir briefly. Garnish with a lemon twist.

If a drink has a glass named after it, you've got something special. Try it with your favorite bourbon.
If you want a little more sweetness, you can try pouring a little maraschino cherry juice in, or use bar sugar which will dissolve more readily than normal sugar.
Chew on the mangled, bourbon infused orange and the smashed cherry after you finish the drink.
Some prefer a bit of club soda on top. Go ahead if you prefer this. I don't.
