Notes

This drink was supposedly invented by TGI Friday's. In 2001, the restaurant chain renamed the drink Summer Sunset, Fun on the Beach, or some other God-forsaken, pre-chewed, sanitized, namby pamby name in order to be more politically correct. It was a rage in the 1980's and is still popular today.

Most bars will not put the Chambord in this drink. Damn those bars. Sure Chambord is expensive, but we're talking a quarter ounce. Put the Chambord in the drink. You will also find pineapple juice instead of orange juice. This is a matter of taste, but I prefer orange juice.

Often, this drink is served as a shooter. The recipe here can make two good sized shooters. Just strain into double shot glasses and down the hatch.

The drink is OK--kind of sweet. It is better than the act on the beach (the sand gets everywhere).
