Aged Demerara Rum
El Dorado 12 Year Demerara Rum
Review
89
Orange-amber color. Brown sugar, burnt orange, tobacco, and damp earth in the nose. Opens steadily into a medium body with honeyed, smoky sweetness, though lighter and not as sweet as the bouquet suggests. Followed by minerally acidity and tingling heat. The finish lasts about a minute. A substantial effort in the traditional earthy, smoky Demerara style. Tasted 8/15/2008.
