Light gold in color. Sugarcane, honey, and creme brulee nose. Somewhat intricate, layered attack. On the surface there is sugarcane, ginger, and falernum notes. Underneath is dark chocolate, spice, vanilla, and nutmeg. This must have spent some time in oak. A long finish that sort of dances on the palate, exuding yet more gingery spice. There is a lot here. Would benefit from a squeeze of lime to tame the sweetness. Tasted 6/19/2006.
