Tequila Anejo 100% Agave
Don Julio 1942 Anejo Tequila
Review
96
Medium straw in color. Medium intensity aromas of cocoa, coffee, honey, agave fruit, and butterscotch. Opens slowly but steadily with buttered popcorn notes. Transitions into waves of pineapple, minerals, and lime with a very nice, balanced warmth that lasts into a long finish (2 minutes or so). Ends with some leathery and rosemary notes. An exotic style. Tasted 4/11/2007.
Notes
"An exquisite Anejo created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the opening of Don Julio's first distillery. Rested in oak barrels for over two years. Full nose of vanilla and nuts." - From the manufacturer's website.
