Maker's Mark Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Brownish amber. Vanilla, nutmeg, lemon, and chamomile aromas. Silky start, then opens quickly into a medium body with smoke, spice, raisin, and orange peel notes. This is followed by some leather. There is a substantial oak structure. Short to medium finish--about 30 seconds. Tasted 12/17/2007.
Notes
"Maker’s Mark is currently the only operating bourbon distillery to make whisky in batches of less than 19 barrels -- the traditional standard for small-batch whiskey." - From the manufacturer's website.
