Very aromatic nose for a sake--hints of strawberries leading into a full throated attack. Dense flavors of pear, peaches, and melon lead to apricots and spice. A nice finish with the alcohol peeking through with a bit of heat (that's a good thing). Loads of fruit and many layers of flavor for a sake. It is brewed for American tastes instead of the more restrained (and some might say refined) Japanese style. Tasted 8/1/2006.
Notes
Sake Meter Value +3.
It's the first of its kind. An exquisite saké crafted for the American palate and with Foodies in mind. Big, bold with explosive layers of flavor that bring your palate what it should experience in a fine sake. Full fruit flavors, creamy body, spicy with a long finish. This is what our team drinks, we think you'll join us in our passion for 'G.'
