Light straw in color. Huge amounts of sweet/smoky peat aromas with herbal undertones. Light on the palate, with plenty of peat riding on that frame. I'm not a peat lover, but this appeals. The smokey peat fades into a light, short finish. This Scotch is aged in old Laphroaig barrels, so it picks up some of the Laphroaig earthiness. Tasted 3/29/2007.
