Chivas Regal 18 Year Scotch Whisky
Review

Light to medium amber with an orange hue. Strong nose of barley malt, vanilla, orange peel, cake batter, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Measured at first on the palate, then opens more with floral and lemon notes. Followed by a wave of nice heat intertwined with fig, wintergreen, and menthol notes. The peat is light, and the oak is present but balanced. Long finish of 60-90 seconds tails with some faint licorice flavors. Overall, a mellow whisky with some surprises when you peel back the layers. Tasted 10/21/2007.
Notes
Every cask of malt and grain whisky which goes into the Chivas Regal 18 year old Gold Signature blend was personally chosen by Chivas Brothers' Master Blender Colin Scott in order to ensure a supremely indulgent and rich tasting whisky.
