Takara Sho Chiku Bai Ginjo Sake

Clear. Medium intensity aromas of jicama, grass, and red licorice (think red Twizzles). Opens big with waves of fruit--melon, kiwi, and strawberries. Then it leans out a bit with some heat, followed by a small dose of acidity. Fairly long finish. This is a fresh, fruity style with nicely balanced acidity. Sampled slightly chilled. Tasted 7/12/2008.
Notes
Sake Meter +5.
Though labeled a Ginjo, according to the Takara website, the rice is milled more than 50% away which technically makes this a Daiginjo.
