Pale amber in color. Fairly strong bouquet of peach pastry, vanilla, kiwi, sugared almonds, and honey. Restrained on the palate at first, then opens some into a light to medium body with kola nut, lemon, and spice notes. This is followed by a dose of tingling acidity and heat. Tails into a dry, light oak finish of medium length. A traditional aged rum profile, smooth, and on the lighter side. Would make a good mixing rum. Tasted 8/12/2008.
