Reddish amber in color. An intense nose of raisins, mincemeat, and orange peel. Smells similar to a Tom and Jerry. Subdued and silky on the palate at first, then opens with more dried orange. The oak is smooth and balanced. Overall very silky and more restrained than the aroma suggests. Long 2 to 3 minute finish with some slightly unbalanced alcohol. Sip this one or make an Old Fashioned if you're feeling fancy. Tasted 3/2/2007.
